Sharon Mareska: Judging Quilts
Sharon has been quilting since 1974 and sewing since “forever.” She became a NQA Certified Quilt Judge and, with the demise of NQA, has maintained her Judge status under NACQJ (National Association of Certified Quilt Judges). Sharon is a member of several local quilt groups: The Gathering of Quilters Guild (founding member), the Quilt Fan-Attics, and the Promise Quilters (founding member).
As well as enjoying ongoing national memberships in NACQJ, AQS, AQSG (American Quilt Study Group), Sharon also participates in the Midwest Fabric Study Group. In addition to the many quilts made for family and friends, Sharon has created award winning quilts, several of which have been nationally published, and has also been very active in making quilts for various charities.
Sharon, a native of Chicago, has lived in Toledo for 41 years with her husband. They have two married sons who have established careers out-of-state. She enjoys facetime with her grandchildren, photography, gardening, and of course, quilting.
